Sandhurst Fine Foods - Finalist's Ethnic Business Awards!
Entering its 18th year, the Ethnic Business Awards is the longest running business awards in Australia. The Awards celebrate the significant contribution of migrants to Australian business, acknowledging stories of success through struggle and hardship.
Entries for the large and small business categories spanned the full breadth of Australia, crossing over 26 nationalities. Four finalists are selected from each category, with the presentation of a Special Initiative Award, as well as the new addition of a Women in Business Award this year.

The criteria used for selection include; the overcoming of cultural and language barriers, innovation of technology, creation of employment, potential for growth and financial performance.
This year, the calibre of entries was extremely high. From cheese making to coffee farming, educating to quilting, the finalists are an eclectic mix who reflect the essence of the Awards that embodies and promotes diversity in industry and most importantly in culture.
Winners will be announced at the Sydney Opera House on November 14. His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC (Retd), the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia will be the honorary guest. Other guests include community and business leaders, representatives from Consulates and dignitaries, judges and sponsors.
Founder of the Awards and Chairman of Ethnic Communications, Mr Joseph Assaf, said that in the current climate, the Ethnic Business Awards are one of the most positive stories to come out of Australian society.
"Australia's migrants are a mirror of the world and the Ethnic Business Awards are the beautiful and vivid colours reflected by that mirror. In a time when there are so many negative stories and events, the Ethnic Business Awards are the positive reflection of the value of multiculturalism to Australia's identity."
The judging panel comprised of fashion designer and Chairman of the SBS Corporation Carla Zampatti, prominent businessman King Fong OAM, retired National Australia Bank General Manager Arthur Sanderson, and business consultant Eve Crestani.
The Awards will be televised on SBS post event. They will be aired twice on Australia Network to an estimated 10 million homes across 39 countries, and replayed by 155 broadcasters throughout the region, seen in 200,000 hotel rooms.
