Spagehtti Bolognese
Serves 4
Ingredients:
375g spaghetti
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 rindless bacon rasher, chopped
500g lean mince beef
2 cloves garlic, crushed
500g bottled tomato pasta sauce
1/3 cup drained Sandhurst Sun-dried Tomatoes, chopped
¼ cup chopped basil or parsley
finely grated parmesan cheese, to serve
Here's How:
- Cook spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling water, until just tender.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frypan over a medium heat. Cook onion and bacon, stirring occasionally, until onion softens.
- Increase heat; add beef and garlic; cook, stirring until beef is cooked through. Add pasta sauce and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until thickened. Stir in chopped herbs.
- Drain spaghetti and divide between four bowls. Top with meat sauce and parmesan cheese.
Cook's tip: Sandhurst Semi-dried Tomatoes or Sandhurst Char-grilled Capsicum can replace Sun-dried Tomatoes.
