Stylish Stuffing

Spagehtti Bolognese

Serves 4

Ingredients:

375g spaghetti
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 rindless bacon rasher, chopped
500g lean mince beef
2 cloves garlic, crushed
500g bottled tomato pasta sauce
1/3 cup drained Sandhurst Sun-dried Tomatoes, chopped
¼ cup chopped basil or parsley
finely grated parmesan cheese, to serve


Here's How:

  1. Cook spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling water, until just tender.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frypan over a medium heat. Cook onion and bacon, stirring occasionally, until onion softens.
  3. Increase heat; add beef and garlic; cook, stirring until beef is cooked through. Add pasta sauce and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until thickened. Stir in chopped herbs.
  4. Drain spaghetti and divide between four bowls. Top with meat sauce and parmesan cheese.
Cook's tip: Sandhurst Semi-dried Tomatoes or Sandhurst Char-grilled Capsicum can replace Sun-dried Tomatoes.
